What is home automation?
After living with the Google Home functionality for a few weeks, I realizeed it is time to move to next level of home automation. I like how google home was running my smart home, until I come across real home automation through raspberry pi.
I took the DIY approach, where I installed an open source software on a Raspberry Pi, then configuring and maintaining it myself.
There are a few options in this space but I’ll be going with Home Assistant, which, has a fairly robust community.
How I automated the various devices?
